Try without it first. If this time the usual mission doesn't crash the game, overwrite version 2.2 of the P-47 with v 2.3.1, just in case it will make any difference.

I'm pretty sure that the japan sub NS_Ko_Hyoteki is causing a CDT.Definetly from museum.
Is anybody else experiencing the same problem?

Yeah I was surprised also, I might be mistaken but early edition of OH might of had it in there. Regardless it's going to be added.

By the way of ctd's, today I ran a little application cunningly provided by privateer tracking down duplicate ID's, and I pointed it to the OHII folder. Guess what? It discovered a heap of ID conflicts. Some of them are new, and some others have been there since long. I am sure that resolving them will make OH much more stable than before

CTD's have gotten very complicated to pin-point these days. Back then, it was usually from another mod that overwrote another mod. So taking the suspected mod out was easy. Now mods that don't overwrite others or don't even have much connection to another, can cause problems.

I am starting to learn what to look for now, but it was so much simpler before.

What you skilled guys do breaking down the issues into detail hasn't been done before, I think.

Still what really is remarkable is that the FX and IRAI mods keep popping up when it comes to strange CTDs.

Even if I haven ever had any major issues with OHII and/or Sober's mod list I find this noteable.

A couple of years ago the combination; TDW UIs + FX + IRAI made me go ballistic and leave them for more than a year.
These days they do work with the TDW UIs.

Even so I'm now addicted to another UI and run an own, modified, Sober mod list

Why is the latest version? At me still have installed OHII v2.2+planes+rockets.
After installing the RPM Hydrophone, I could not load the Autosave enter base, until removed these three ships NAO_Dithmarschen, NKMCS_C1B, NKMSS_HogIsland from this mod. What is wrong with these ships? I don't know.
In my game a long time already stopped working mods, which massively change sim files of ships, e.g. Ship Inertia (CTD, Problem Event name:BEX). This happened long before the aircraft and rockets. It seems to me that it has occurred after the next updating Windows KB???, but I can't precisely tell.

I've just created one mine test mission with one tribal destroyer and one P-47. Mission worked well but if I try to load save in the bunker after that mission the game will crash...

Then I removed P-47 from the same mission and save from the bunker loaded just fine...

With your previous statement we can now be sure that your planes and rockets somehow broke compatibility of OHII with RPM hydrophones which is not good thing... We need to get to the bottom of this...

Very helpful thing would be some kind of OHII v2.2 to OHII v2.3.1 update patch, the mod which would contain only changed and newly added files to OHII v2.2...

Tweaks included in this patch:
  • Serge's fix for some recently added air units which were crashing the game in museum (sober, can you check that the museum is ok now?);
  • Serge's compatibiity patch for SkyBaron's Leigh light for SH5;
  • My fixes for the not sequentially ordered H8K's equipment entries, and for the duplicate Glorious/Courageous class names, as per sober's report;
  • A new version of sh.sdl including all the sound entries from OH 2.3.1, RPM Hydrophone v2.2.1, TDW's sub flag, Harbour Addition_Environment Enhancement Mod v0.5. This should fix the problem reported by vdr1981.

Enable the patch on top of the aforementioned mods.

Note for Trevally:

The patch is set for being enabled with JSGME. If you are going to merge it with the next OH release, you should remove manually from the merged mod the folder <NCV_Glorious> with all its content

Changelog:

fixed various Id conflicts between the binary files (dsd, sim, val and zon) of AOTDMadMax/Stormfly/SteelViking Big modern Passangerships and the hospital ship

P.S: RPM hydrophone files need still to be likewise fixed.
Thanks Gap

I will wait until we get to the bottom of the issue with v2.3.1 working with
RPM Hydrophone before next version or patch

yep, wise decision

by the way: what about Vecko's request of a stripped-down version of OHII v 2.3.1 containing only the changes since v 2.3 (as if it was a patch for v 2.2). It wold make beta tester's task much easier.

I hope it is everything Vecko - this is the first time I lost track of all the changes as so many people helped with this version.

The update was made by patches sent, files sent and PMs - so I only had a running mod getting changed. Normally every change I make, I keep in reserve folders, but not this time - so this file is what I can remember changing looking through my PMs and posts

Thank you Trevally.

Hope we will find soon the reason of the odd ctd's that have been reported lately. I am quite confident that most of them are caused by Id conflicts that, accidentally, have been introduced over the time in OHII. This kind of errors are esily ironed out by using the "remap id's" util of S3d.

As an aside, today I have sent privateer's tool to Serge. I am sure he will make the best out of it.

Yes, I know what you mean...It's really hard to track all the changes in such complex mod like OHII...

Anyway, I'll try to "split" your patch in smaller peaces in order to pinpoint finally what is going on...But it could take some time...
