Considering your other posts on the topic of DRM, I'll go ahead and assume your comment is dripping with sarcasm.

You sound like the type of guy who wouldn't exercise his right to vote because "one vote won't make a difference" and then riducule everyone else who does.

I don't think that anyone here is under the illusion that this petition will make UBI remove the DRM. That's not the point. The point is to show them how many potential customers have a problem with it... and I think that the fact that there are already 2000+ names on it will show them that maybe it's not just a handful of people, but a real percentage of their customer base.

This type of thing gets considered when companies make business decisions that run the risk of customer backlash. While this petition won't make them remove the DRM, it could affect future decisions, especially if they know just how many people feel strongly about it.

/sorry for feeding the troll

Maybe, but UBI are still betting that many people will vote and buy anyway. Just like in the `80s when everyone said they`d vote labour but in private voted conservative.

UBI are going to sit and wait it out to see just whther people have backbone or are just jellyfish that cry a lot but still buy like sheep anyway.

I just hope people really vote and don`t pay UBI.

It is amazing how much the opposition to DRM has grown worldwide in the last few weeks. It ammounts to an unofficial boycott. Considering the candy store effect, some sales will happen. We see it in this forum. Nevertheless, unless Ubi removes DRM quickly, their sales will plummet. Considering their financial position, this could be fatal for Ubisoft.

You'll be doing Ubi a favor by signing the petitions.com thinggie

Signed....it will only work if people hold off from buying SH5. The initial 3 to 4 weeks of game sells SHOULD basicly give UBI the hint. But if you buy it then you'll be helping to undo all our work.
