FW,

I have always been curious, how much is a cent compared with British money?.Is it closer to our penny?,with 100 pennies to a pound?,so,so many cents to a dollar?.I understand 1 dollar is about half of our pound, meaning you can get roughly 2 for the price of 1 over in the US.

Ripoff Britain! (shame, but wouldnt want to lose our pound either)

A cent is 1/100th of a dollar, so about half a UK penny. (We sometimes call them pennies too.) Back when you had 240 pence to the pound, and the pound was worth about $2.40, a cent was worth about a penny. New pence are worth 2.4 old pence, but the relative value of the pound to the dollar has declined.

RL,

Thanks for the info.I will just relate to them as being pennies, albeit much more value than our pennies,as you can still get almost 2 for our 1 over there.
On the downside,it would mean losing our £ if we adopted any other currency. The price you pay, literally.

Or there's " Someone dropped the dime on him" meaning the called they police on him. From back when a pay-phone call cost a dime.

"Oh you dirty rat"

apologies for necroing this thread but it caught my eye while searching for somethng else...

so anyhow about the topic question, i had the same thing happen to me. i run gwx 3 only and on vista. when i saw that none of my saves where there anymore, i looked in 'my docs' directory and noticed my saves where in fact there.

so i restarted the game, this time w/o 'run as admin' and my saves where back. hope this helps whoever runs across this problem

Don't worry, looking at the date you only got it out of it's coma. It was far from being classified really dead.
