What, you act like you have never met a himbo before.
The "himbo" part isn't the problem. It's the total ignorance and conceit that bother me most. But that's just the way I see it, so don't worry your rich, goodlooking, buff self about it.

I almost wonder if flamingboat is stealth hunter playing fakey-internet persona again...

but i really doubt it.

I obviously can't vote in you yanks' election, but down here, we've already seen a newly elected leader for the past 12 months who is full of talk. He's done nothing significant for the people of this country and done pleny of purely symbolic and potentially costly things for little reason other than to get himself on tv. He came in promising change, and just over half the country believed him. Only thing to change since then is his mind. We simply dont know what he's up to anymore because he backflips every couple of days. Hell, he spends more time outta the country than in it!

We voted in a youthful, energetic, inexperienced person for the sake of a petty slogan (kevin07 - damn compulsory voting for under 30s). We got a phony, a dud who promises the world but delivers nothing.

Hate to see you yanks go down the exact same path.

Don't worry, I won't, especially not before a latte. I'm only rich in comparison to my working class background. Trust me I am no Rockefeller, but considering where I came from, I might as well be.

Uhh.....does it matter what he tells about his past? If McCain wants to talk about his years in 'Nam, fine by me, but I don't understand why Obama must talk about his past when the election is in the future, and the future is, at the current time, not very bright, so concentrate on what's ahead instead of behnind maybe?

(Non-American and takes no responsibility in the coming election and it's consequences.)

If you're referring to Barry O as being able to BS us with correct English, you're sadly mistaken. I suppose you haven't listened very closely to his speeches. For such an educated person, he sure starts a lot of sentences with "We gotta". Hardly proper English. Sounds more like the hip-hop crowd from Chicago.

Write it down. To quote Spock, "After a time, you may find that having is not so pleasing a thing, after all, as wanting. It is not logical, but it is often true."

Obama is not to be feared unless you are a liberal, any more than Jimmy Carter was to be feared. An Obama presidency will only open the eyes of a sometimes intelligent people and cause them to make the right choice next time. Sometimes you have to pay the price to learn. We aren't willing to pay the price of victory, so we will pay the price of wishful thinking, THEN we will willingly pay the price of victory, with our liberals leading the way. We can readily afford it both ways. It will just cost more sons, brothers, daughters, sisters, fathers and mothers this way. Just think of it as effective population control. It's green!

The "we gotta" stuff is just posturing. He is an overeducated elitist, trying to hide the fact that he has contempt even for his own supporters long enough to score. When he wins the disadvantaged who propel him to victory will be hurt the most.

Anybody around here employed by a homeless person? Or are you employed by targets of the Obama form of income redistribution. Let me know how that works out.

In the meantime, I worked for $134.98 a week for almost ten years, during which time I saved $7,500 for a piece of property. I used that property as security for a contractor to build me the shell of the house I live in now, financing less than $15,000. Paying $230 a month for 20 years I was a homeowner for little enough that I could beg on the street to live. Whenever I had the money I and my wife paid cash for finishing different parts of the inside. It was a several year project. Three years ago we made our last payment. A house and two cars free and clear. I have sufficient savings, earned from zero, not to worry no matter what happens. I'm not afraid of whatever transpires. I can afford short term or long term failure of the electorate to understand economics. It is the poor young people who are being led to the slaughter by foolish but seductive fallacies from a person they trust. Sadder, wiser and conservative young people will be the result.

Your prosperity will never come from government. Any that you have will be the result of sacrifices you are willingly making in your own life.

What a redneck statement, there is no such thing as being overeducated. Would you turn down the doctor who was about to do your heart surgery if he was "overeducated?" I think not.

You are overeducated when your education is not of knowledge but of indoctrination.

Pfft, work is for suckers.

recently, a Democratic operative pointed out that when Obama holds a rally 25-30,000 people show up, whereas when McCain holds one, he only draws 10-15,000.

The Republican spokesman replied, "That's because McCain's supporters are at work."

Apparently at least once more.:rotflwhy'd you quote it???)

Recently Palin held a rally in the Orlando area and attracted about 20,000 people. Obama held a rally at Bethune-Cookman College and attracted about 5,000. "OBAMA SENSATION!!!" screamed my newspaper's headline. Palin had a little box on page 2. No bias there, is there?

Obama used the occasion at one of the country's greatest black colleges, Bethune-Cookman University (good school. Several friends of mine attended there), to posture in favor of women. He cried that women don't get the same respect as men. He cried that women have to be paid the same amount of money for the same amount of work. He called for laws that would require that and to require every business to prove that it was in compliance.

Meanwhile, the Obama campaign pays its employed women $1,900 less than men with the same job description. That discriminator fat cat McCain pays his women 9,000 more than men with the same job description. Who believes in promoting the welfare of women? Sounds a bit like Jesus' story of the pharisee and the Samaritan, doesn't it? Who believes is the one who does, not the one who says. Any uneducated farmer can tell you that. But a university professor will try to tell you otherwise. I hope you have the confidence in the right to laugh at revealed foolishness like that.
