HS Averof ?
I thought it is a joke ... because reading from behind it reads "Foreva" which is certainly the time it is and will be in duty
Greetings,
Catfish

Toured the Olympia in the Philly harbor some years back. Beautiful ship, so much brass and teak.

Default Limnos-kilkis

The partners of AVEROF douring WW1 and the 1919-1922 campaign:

HRS or HS as you like LIMNOS ex USS IDAHO

HS LIMNOS was same as HS KILKIS. They were bought in 1914 together with HS HELLEE and this gave the founds to US for the built of USS TENESSEE!

Here is HS KILKIS already out of service, sunk at SALAMIS by JU 87 in APRIL 1941.

Great shots and I love how the Greeks kept the original cage masts - a very distinctive US battlewagon feature until the mid-30s.
