Hamilton and Alonso were allowed to fight for the title when racing in a car that was CHEATING because of having secret info from the rival?.
the car was scrutinized and was found to have no ferrari IP. not forgetting the whole thing started because a ferrari guy was unhappy about the team cheating during the first grand prix a team that probably would carried on with it knowingly if he hadn't blown the whistle.

neither teams can hold there heads high this season.

Something smells bad with this Hamilton schtick if ya asks me and the investigation.... I reckon for whatever reason the FIA want him to be champ... maybe for media relations? Cause he is a young black rookie?

or, maybe its because a lot of big people invested big bucks in him and all their money went down the chute?

In any case, good on Raikonnen.

(how do I know about F1, I kinda got into it, with my dad and brother watching it loads)

Looks like i picked abloody good race to miss *sigh* women and this dating nonsense
Anyway good for Kimi that he took the championship, was well deserved, tough luck for Hamilton with the echanical difficulties, but he will be a champ sooner or later. Alonso and his whiny spoiled atitude can go burn in hell.
As for the whole season, it has been draped in shame. The whole Ferrari McLaren business has been a farce since if one would follow the letter of the rule both should have been penalized just the same. The fuel temperature irregularity has been explained by someone prior to my post and was the right call by stewards. Hope to download the race soon so i can see for myself, from what i hear from the lads i sualy watch races with it was great.
For next season im mainly looking to see a better performance out of Kubica, currently my favorite driver in the series, though not really a title pretendent this year. Allso hope to see Marko Asmer behind the wheel of one of those F1 machines in the next few seasons, though it is unlikely it will be the coming one.

Well Hamilton is saying he doesn't want to win by default. Fair enough. I also don't want to see that. Kimi scored most points due to a combination of very good driving and Hamilton's bad luck.

Hamilton has next year to think about.

Hitman I know you and I are at the opposite ends in that I like Hamilton and you support Alonso but having looked at other news sources ie non UK ones, Alonso didn't do himself any favours with the comments he made this year.

I am not really a fan of Raikkonen, all I like is that he does not play the endless silly stupid say-nothing-in-a-lot-of-dumb-words-reporter-games, but somehow I expected some fate in his favour. Of the three, I would rate him to be a real "iceman" in cockpit, and I must admit I do not like Alonso. I find him very arrogant.

However, it was Alonso saying in an intervie with Spanish radio that it would be a bad idea to try to hand the championship to Hamilton at the green table, that would be a great damage to the sports. but while this could be noble indeed, it also could mean that in fact he was only firing a final broadside against McLaren, whom he wishes to leave after a catastrophic season.

I think the future will be Hamilton's. And it would not be undeserved if he carries on like he hast started.

It could likely have been the last season for the champ's (there is only one champ, remember! ) brother remaining on the circuit, ralph Schumacher. He never met the high expectation, not in this and not in previous years. He failed in the decisive things that his brother succeeded in: to form a team around him, to prepare them and himself, to train for victory. Only big comments, and finger-pointing at others. as a german newspaper headlined a story on him: "Overpayed, overrated, overtaken". I would not miss him. It seems the teams currently think the same.

Was it just me or was Alonso lucky up there on the podium, that Hamilton didn't take the title? Sure looked like that, but maybe I'm just interpreting too much into this whole affair at McClaren between Alonso and Hamilton.

I would've loved to see Hamilton take the title ON THE TRACK, but Kimi deserved it just as much, after finishing second in the WC twice before.

If I were Hamilton I'd probably tell the people at McClaren to let it be, and not go on about this whole fuel temperature stuff, but I guess there's too much money involved for this move to go well with the team.

This reminds me of a very funny interview on Speed Channel here in the States. During the Acura prerace show, all the drivers were asked what their best moment during this season was. When they got to Ralph I had to laugh. He couldn't come up with anything. He just stood there and basically all he said was, "Uhh...".
