Does that mean that they still have plans for SH3, since they didn't do this for that game?

Here in Germany one gets since a longer time SHIII already with NODVD in a game collection box. And as far I know is the low budget SHIII Exclusiv version from Rondomedia also with NODVD.

What is still missing is a NODVD in form of a official SHIII patch.

Whoa that's cool. I just checked and my disc is in the case. I thought I left the disc in my drive since I reinstalled it. That's cool.

Now since they are doing that how about they fix the transparent crew and the zombie crew with no eyes or the creepy crew with huge eyes and whatever else I left out. This better not be the last patch there are still technical issues to be fixed.

This is a tad off but do I need to install all the patches or just the 1.3?

Just 1.3, it has all the fixes from the previous versions on it as well. Though do a fresh install then patch it to be safe.

I noticed after 1.3 I didnt need the disk but then I found it kept crashing after about 15 min so I went back to using the disk and started the game by inserting the disk and selecting play and it seemed to solve the CTD's

has anyone else experienced this?

No-CD is awesome, now I don't have to hunt it down, not that I keep it under lock and key or anything.

Wish they did the same thing for SH3.

You guys need to read the thread. Your ctd's are caused by something else.

I'm not getting any ctd's, but then I never did with this game from version 1.0 on.

@Elanaiba. That is the second time I have seen you hint that devs may indeed still be working on this game. I hope it is so.

Back in the early days of 1.1 & 1.2 I had crashes both CTD & System crashes. I have a few post on subsim ranting about the sim sucks here or there. I originally had 1 GB ram with no crashes but kind of slow. I then installed two more one GB sticks RAM and wow, game speed up ( for awhile ) then CTD,CTD. Found out I had the wrong RAM. Purchased the correct one GB Sticks of ram and to this day approximately 115 hours of real life game play later I have never had a CTD or system crash and SH4 has never ran better. I run "PULL DOWN PACIFIC MAP for SH4 for Patch V1.3 REVISION A" by CAPTAIN COX and a couple more fixes typed in.

So I believe if your computer has a problem with SH4 1.3 it is not the fault of stock SH4.
It's easy to blame the DEVs ( ) but this is not their fault.

And NO the disc is not needed period for 1.3 except to keep the disc jewel case filled maybe.

I have never had the "fade" or bug eye problem. Just to many people whom are not having CTD's nor buggy eyes for this to be a SH4 problem!

Kind of like putting the wrong type gas in you car and you wonder why it won't run right. Oh right, blame the auto mfg.
