Default Finally Taking the Plunge! (GWX)

Guten Tag, Alle,

Naja, after taking the Type VIIB out and sinking 15 freighters in one month at sea, I figured: even with my 1WO doing the math for the surface shots, this is whack -- totally unreal tonnage. So I'm d/ling GWX 1.03 and installing it tonight. Hoo-Ahh!

One of these days, you might hear I've gone to Penang! (I'll try to avoid the Conning Tower of Death!)

Tschuss!

Just one question, what took you so long?

Any way you will be blown away.

Indeed, what took me so long?? :hmm: Well, I like to get thoroughly acquainted with the stock version first -- then I can fully appreciate what the mods do. I've added a lot of them individually (which I'll remove before the GWX install, naturlich).

Oh yeah, I just read the GWX book yesterday. Mensch, that was the clincher! Looks like I'm not getting much sleep tonight!

'Z' and 'C', I love thee!

@Schöneboom:
Am I guessing right that you are NOT a German who lives in America?:hmm:
Because some of the German words you use seem to be a little bit displaced. Maybe you spent some time in Germany where you picked up some of those words?
I don't want to offend you, I'm just curious.
Where are you from? Holland?

You can get good tonnage even with GWX, this happened to me yesterday starting a new career in 1939 VIIB. I head out to ordered patrol Grid BE31, on the way there i came across two taskforces!
First one in AN13 with the HOOD!!! and another BB. I sunk the hood, & evaded a very poor depth charge attack. Couple of days later i come across another Taskforce in AM35 - this TF is always around heads from the Gib straight up around ireland then back again, if you know where its heading you could probably sink this TF in every patrol :rotfl:I sunk the Carrier and evaded another poor escort attack.

So this last attack was a bit of a cheat as i knew where to ly in wait for it. But the Hood taskforce i never knew about, plus another BB was travelling with her, once i sunk the hood I left.

Oh yeah notice my speed - 6 knts, this is early in the war attacking a TF at 6 knots would be suicide later on, but early in the war you can risk it. Escorts only pinged me after i hit the Hood/Carrier.

First patrol 1939, tonnage sunk 72000.

@Kaleu Jochen Mohr:

I don't understand you. What do you mean by 'Correct a little'?

@Canovaro:

You won't laugh at Schöneboom's phrases, won't you?

@kiwi2005:

You really are a lucky devil!
Never encountered any BBs or carriers.
