Hey - my great grandmother smoked, ate steak, did all the things you shouldn't do and she lived to 104.

I think long life is mainly a stress thing - more stress = more free radicals in the body = age faster = dead quicker.

No no... LOL I just edited my previous post to show I was pulling your leg. Never been a fan or regular cigarettes, but I do buy the odd 10 pack of menthols and smoke one or two on a Friday.

My Pop was an emergancy room physician.....pronounced many a jogger dead.....heart attacks while jogging!!!

This whole physical fitness thing is over rated.

Me....my metabolism is so high that I'm able to eat like a horse and not gain an oz of weight. High metabolism baby....the easy physical fitness.

This is a very good point and here in the UK people think you should live off stress and coffee. Why?

Population control is your answer.

I have noticed the work of three people if not more is now forced on to one person and those stress junkies want everything done last week.

Hey! Who told you about my job? THen again, if you want things done right....

Actually - delgating and trusting it will get done is much less stressful in the long run, so that is not entirely true. There will be problems this way, but you will ultimately have to deal with less.

I think, if you are really concerned about stress and wellbeing... You wouldn't touch anything that can be smoked when you feel stressed out. smoking and stress is a bad combo. I never smoke when I feel stressed out no matter how much I may be screaming.

Nothing beats stress busting like a lot of intense physical activity.

Smoking calms my nerves! Physical activity does also. To get rid of this stress thing I believe we should have a two day work week and all other days off.

I agree with you AVG, I find smoking a very relaxing thing. Even though there are lots of scientific arguments to the contrary how it shouldn't be relaxing. I do find it relaxing, but that is my weekend only treat. So to say... if I am stressed out over something, which does not happen very often at all. I won't smoke at all, not even on a weekend.

Exercise is a great cure for a good many ails too. My brother not so long back dislocated his ankle and was on crutches for 8 flipping weeks! And since he started back with his exercise routine he found he has felt better.

I know you can seriously overdo the whole fitness thing, but it really does help.

Oh.... wait... I am looking for work! Less time for GWX for me.
