I believe the interior free look command is shift+F12 (maybe ctrl+F12? someone will correct me, I'm sure). Just don't try going too far into the aft or fore of your boat or you'll crash the game.

Yeah first time I went to the captains cabin I tried to click on the book that's stored on the cupboard door, thought it might be the KTB, guess it was planned as the arrow turns red, but nothing happens when you click on it.
If you do a shift + F2 you can kind of look inside that cabinet and see there are books inside, but no way to get at them.
Yep, there's also a safe in there.

I think the bed could have been great for a "player fatigue" part of the game. The longer a player continues without "sleeping" the more delayed responses to his orders would be etc. The player can nap on the bed and time would whip by really quickly (way faster than maximum TC) but if some kind of event or sighting occurs it "wakes" the player and gives a 10-20 second delay before you can command a response. Or maybe the player could set responses to certain events with his officiers on watch so they take automatic action. The better the officiers, the better and faster their responses. Leave the boat in the hands of the midshipman while you nap in enemy waters and you wake up dead.

The possibilities are endless; hell you can even have weird dreaming images that float across the screen while you nap - ships going down, depth charge attacks and girls you "met" in the Reeperbahn.

Now that is a great idea. That would really add to the immersion level of the game.

It's Shift + F2 isn't it?

I just figured it out after about an hour of tinkering with the controls. And now I am so disappointed because I can't have one!

Bed is good. Bed is always good, wheter you sleep, watch movies or do some hanky-panky, which is not the case aboard a respectable Kriegsmarine U-Boot, unless Bernard gets some stockings ..

Next Sonar mans entry, Week 4, the captain keeps dropping things on the floor and asking me to bend over and pick them up. I find this very odd as he always says, 'Oh boy" when I retrieve whatever he has dropped.

He should be glad and thankful that the captain doesn't order him to wash all the boat floors on his knees.

If you're referring to the cases of beer, they're in the stock game. If there's something else there in GWX you'll have to tell me because I can't play for the foreseeable future.
