The Captains bunk?
Well, the gramophone thread grew a life of it's own, ;) but now my next brain tickler. Anyone have clue what the actual point of the Captains bed is?
|
To rest I think. :)
And to invite the ladies if there were some on any sunk merchant ship you have taken the rescuees from. Isn't every Kriegsmarine officer a gentleman? (in a Germanic style, of course, not English-Schmienglisch! ;) ). |
Where else am I to store my Playboy magazines/cigars/booze?

If you're using GWX, look under the bed. ;)

In Polish we have a joke about officer's bed (a word-play I'll try to translate):
— What does an officer have under his bed? — An officer has to clean up under his bed, sir! And another one, impossible to translate, but I'll try to explain… It's just so funny: — An officer looks under his bed in the morning and what does he see? — His 'morning shoes', sir! [those you put on when awaken and going to bath or so.] But the second sentence means literally also: — His shoes wounded, sir! :) |
If you pull back the covers on the bed you'll find an Easter Egg.

And if you play chicken with a DD at flank speed they'll always get out of your way.
