I'm very happy that the Dems now control both houses of congress, perhaps now something other than wasteful spending and hollow rhetoric will come out of the capitol. (Probably wishful thinking but who knows?) The Republicans lost because they didn't do their jobs, plain and simple. The President cannot be allowed to run amok with his policy, regardless of who controls the congress, and the previous majority failed in that respect. It's politics 101, no matter what the issues are, if you don't do your job, you lose.

I'm just thankful the Dems won't be able to push anything really stupid through congress like an AWB, at least while Bush is still in office.

The hairs are just standing up on the back of my neck when I know she's after my guns......that's the number one issue for me.

So how is "frigid bridgid" relevant to Pelosi being after your guns?

Is it acceptable here on this forum to hurl insults and name calling at Democrats whilst to do so at President Bush or other Republicans is a grave slur? That is the way I see it dealt out here. My position is that both sides deserve a minimal degree of respect which is above being subjected to name calling, innuendo, and insults. What say you sir?

That's about par for the course. She represents San Francisco.

I'm waiting for the impeachment and investigations to start up. It is going to be an 8-ring circus. You might have seen a 3-ring, but in San Francisco, it's not anything until until it's an eightsome. Plus exxtasy and weed and a couple lines of coca.

That's about the only difference between having a Republican and a Democrat majority. Same spending programs. Same 527 lobbists. The Republicans kept the subponeas to a minimum, the Democrats will maximize them. And it suits me just fine.

Engineer, all stop. Drop anchor.

The beauty is, that works both ways. This is why im happy about the election results. Partisian bulls**t (from either party) likelyhood of being passed is alot lower now. So we won't end up with some extra retarded legislature. Checks and balances! No party should be able to run the whole show by itself.

Not to my mind.

Why would I be joking? I am a born and raised Arizonian....I have many Mexican friends and Canadian....Why would I joke about strengthening ties with our Democratic neighbors...what part is funny?>...Mexico City... to the last of my knowledge... was the biggest city in the world....Why make enemys?....Do you think I am against Illegal Immigration....I think not...do a google search for Sherrif Joe....I vote for him evey time...break the law and go to jail..no problem...Illegal entry into America...Go To Jail....thats not what I am talking about...think bigger.

To try to secure borders as big as Canada and Mexico is ABSURD!...but you...or I know what will happen...a half ass attempt at a "WALL" will be attempted...which conveys the wrong message to an ally and neighbor.Nothing new under the sun...vanity of vanites ALL is vanity.

It goes both ways and I can't stand any of it, period.

Default Who started this mess?

It's been a while since coming back to this forum. Was looking for some escape from all the bad news with the elections and then I come to this post and I'm right back into it again. Wish we could ban all political stuff from here.

The way I see it, you're either left or right with about the same number in the middle who probably only get their news from CNN or the other major networks. Can you spell biased? I realized this when I was in grade school reading the Cleveland newspaper. If an 11 yeal old kid can see the bias in the news I think that says something. I don't think there's any doubt who Al Queda was rooting for Tuesday.

This group of new democrats seem to have taken on a new disguise. They've tried to present themselves as normal. They even went so far as to vote in a govenor for Ohio that is a former ordained minister. Don't worry, it's just a wolf in sheeps clothing. He's still for abortions, tax dollars paying for abortions, partial birth abortion and same sex weddings. Nice minister huh? This world is getting pretty freaky and the new Dems are a great example.

I've never seen a more partisan group in my life. Anything for the party! The Democrats are not the Democrats of old unfortunatly. This country will suffer for it. Now I'm going to promise myself to not come back to this thread again when here. I'd like to enjoy the time in here.

Not sure what all the answers are but I get a chill up my spine when I think of the Democratic party. Powered by class envy, racism and socialist/marxist.

Mitch
