I'd like to thank Fubar whose excellent skins were used as a base from GW1.1a.

And Ducimus, who had the nerve to ask if I did requests

The IX boats look like they have metal deck plates whereas I have seen an image of a VIIB/C & IIA with wooden decking.

Is this the case or did the IX boats have wood too?

Wierd. Looking at the older photo's youd swear it looked like a metal deck. The newer photo's are clearly wood. Either it was always wood, or at some point the deck was replaced/modernized by the muesem.

Dan, the decks were wood but the preservate used made them look almost black. After awhile I imagine they became weathered and showed lighter. But not as they would be before preserved, just a faded black.

I don't have the link but I did read that on a Uboat site the other day. Someone had a link for it.

Update for the IXD2. This is my favorite boat and as such I have gone all out on this one. There are two versions as I'm unsure about the decking effect.

IXD2 Weathered + Brand New Decking

IXD2 Weathered + Bleached Decking

These are finished, but rapidshare is telling me it's full & filefront's upload server is down for maintenance.

Anyone know of a decent file host?
