Well if your conning tower is going to be under water in a storm most of the time anyway "why not just be under water"..At say 25-50 meters, and save your self from all that rock-n-rolling.

During a storm, the conning tower of my IIA was underwater! I even has a screenshot of it. Still don't know how the engines continued to work? :hmm:

@sober
Last night I started a new patrol and was greeted by a same kind of storm as in that picture I posted. This time there was no weird shapes in the waves. I get the sometimes, been having them before GWX too, so I think it might be my PC doing tricks when it´s been running too long. ![]() |

I have noticed that when playing stock SH3 that the POV when on board your sub is fixed i.e. your line of sight remains exactly parallel with the deck. I've noticed that if you move the mouse forwards and backwards in opposition with the roll and pitch of he boat, you get a much more realistic, sea-sickness inducing, POV.
Thus, if the POV was made fixed, parallel with the seabed and not the deck, the boat would pitch and roll independantly around you, giving a much more realistic effect. This also applies to the internal perspective and corrects the problem of the boat's tilt during dives not looking right. Now, I'm hoping the boys at GWX have sussed this out themselves (I've read reports of Beta-Captains complaining of sea-sickness), and have corrected it. Here's hoping. Is there a web site that has what changes and new items we can expect with GWX?
