Right now the only out of camera zone errors I get are when I click on another crew member (the ones where the mouse cursor lights up when it hovers over them).

Yeah, I get that, also. Usually the out of zone error in the CT happens when I'm at teh radar station and then I right click to back out of it. Instant darkness. A second right click brings me to the con, which is usually visible, but a few times I got an out of zone error there, too, without clicking the officer.

Default UFO's at Sea?

I don't know if anyone else has seen this. It was pretty eerie the first time I saw it. I was submerged and using the free cam to look around. The stars were out but it was still that twilight period before dark.

I had attacked a convoy and had made my escape and decided to look around now that the pressure was off. When I did, I saw what looked like a tiny ball of light bouncing across the sea off near the horizon. At first I thought it was a star twinkling but as it moved that killed that possibility. I couldn't figure out what it was until after moving over near the escorts still searching for me.

It turns out to be their spot light and the bouncing is caused by the ship rocking in the waves. It's like the spotlight is being projected on the sky far, far away.

Surreal looking and not a show stopper.

Hi all,

I have found out what causes the slow downs, it's because the SH4 engine doesn't like an uneven number in the file that controls the colour for sun multipication, the bug is now corrected and my FPS went from 11 to 30 just before sunrise, I will try to investigate if we can get some more FPS when foggy..

I have reduced the sky texture to one half of it's original size allmost without loss of quality, but will include the highres one as an option if you have a powerfull gfx-card, all in all this should give some more power to the CPU.

I replaced the PE camera file with an older camera mod called "SB_13PersonCameras_Mod_v1.0" and I still get those errors.

Bless you man! I was going batsh*t crazy (pardon the french, guys) yesterday trying to find just what the hell is causing the stupid slowdown!
With regards to strange sound and graphics effects when loading up a saved game and with Special Effects enabled, I compared the zones.cfg file from NSM4 (which, I'll remind you, I used as a template) to stock zones.cfg. Werner hasn't added any effects whatsoever to submarines, and he hasn't touched any submarine .zon files either, and now I can honestly say I have no clue whatsoever as to what causes those strange effects both in NSM4 and ROW PE2 Special Effects!

I did not create this camera.dat file and out of the blue, I just can't remember, who did it for me, but AFAIR it was based on 1.4.
Anyway, it works for both fleet boats and uboats. It has high altitude but not internal free move camera.
You can use it as temporary solution until a reworked version shows up:

Just copy it to library folder...

Assuming you were talking about Submarine_Surface_INT.wav in the sound folder, I have packed the original and my edit of it: I reduced the alarm sound itself by minus 5db and a little extra in overall. Now compare if it's okay. You can get it here:
