I think both mods have achieved completely different things. I dare say that the approach LWAMI has taken is slightly different - there is a strong community feedback mechanism; i.e. we are urged for our opinions on content.

SCX was very much a realism project in itself, the reason it ended up with so many new units was partly to do with the realism. However SCX is for SC which is not what most people are playing.

So the baton has passed on.

Another thing is that many of the things now being done in lwami would be hell to test and implement if you added all the extra platforms etc first.

We may see things like the extra ai platforms in lwami at some point; but this is not the time.
