I am about to have a major PC upgrade an ATI Radeon 16X PCI-Express 128Bit RX1600XT-T2D256E, 256MB . Anybody got that? How does it work?

Cant reproduce it now.... DAMN AND BLAST...
I remember Alt tabbing out of SH3 main menu before I had started the game, then copied my save game folder and went back in and then started the campaign and all smoke was OK, even when I started a scenario or went to the museum. Looking at the sun had no effect, smoke was black. The particle effects when it turns white are strange, they seem scaled and change in size when you zoom in, I dont remember that with my old card. Anyway, one thing I have noticed when I get white smoke; the game loads and you start to play, then if you use external camera you see brown/black smoke initially. Then, if you dont look at the sun but move the camera closer to a ship, the game pauses for maybe 30 seconds while something is loaded off the hard drive - this never happened before to me with my old card... What is loaded in and why...? Is it the game or drivers? Can it be stopped...? |
