Just a little addition to that not to take all things seriously.
Basically nothing has happened with that trial, AFAIK they haven't been sent to prison, they got off.

Also, the article refered is not a news article, just a perspectives write up by a journalist who has a right wing leaning.

(I know cause he has a column in every sunday paper, and on the next page is a column written by a left leaning columnist. And they only has write-ups in the perspective/letters to the editor parts of the papers) ie the article isn't a genuine newsworthy piece, just his opinion.

Unless someone posts a source that directly quotes a bank employee saying they have banned piggy banks, I'm not believing it for a second. This kind of sensational story makes editors salivate, so much so that they are willing to forego basic fact checking.
Excellent call. But that fiction came on the tale of this case. Fortunately, someone said enough's enough.

Lovely. The whole trial is absurd! And they were found guilty - with penalties to be assessed next year!

Right wing leaning?!?!?!? Quick - cover your eyes! Rush the children out of the room!

Just ask Holland.
It's sad but true that there is some form of self-censorship in Holland. Some columnists withdrew from the public debate after the Theo van Gogh murder and subsequent threats. Others can now claim personal protection.
The film 'Submission' - about the position of Muslim women - can not be shown again because the producer is threatened. However, Ayaan Hirshi Ali, an ex-Muslim Member of Parliament, who made the movie with Theo van Gogh and has since 24/7 protection, is working on a sequel 'Submission II' about the submissiveness of men towards Islam and its preachers and has announced plans for a new remake of 'Submission (I)', both with anonimous casts and producers.

@ Avon Lady

I think I've been taken the wrong way, I was only stating that the article linked was something people should take as gospel.

And that he was a conservative person as opposed to a liberal.
I don't care wither way and I consider myself in the middle, and the children should be allowed to make up there own minds

If you don't care, then why mention it? Do you agree or disgaree? Is it faulty or does it hit the nail on the head?

What's the take of "middle" people like yourself on this case and its potential impact on your freedoms as well? Or does "middle" mean "complacent"? :hmm:
