When there is such great games as SH3-4-5 ... I can't see wasting time on a browser game.

I can play SH with an internet connection or without one ... I wouldn't waste my time on any game I had to have a connection to use.

i was never been able to play silent hunter online. never got further then the step of picking my profile picture, the next step was playing the actual game but got several errors or downtimes of the server.
never bothered to try again, im sticking with SH3 and 4

It´s not too sad. I am an older SH fan. Somewhere starting from Silent Service. There are a lot of SubSims out, all can be found here at SUBSIM. I never played SHO, I saw some videos. That was enough to know. Right now, I got three installations: SH3, SH5, and SC. DW might be an option... I´ll wait till there is a 5 bucks opportunity

Sounds to me like Silent Hunter Online is preferable to having a fatal disease.

Dont be too hard. Each to their own. There are at least a trillion games out there I would not touch with the proverbial barge pole. I do not play online against humans, but I do play a couple in Steam (Age of Empires 2 HD, for example). New games are rapidly vanishing in the shops for PCs. MY local Asda had hundreds at one stage, now its zero. They sell games for consoles, but I dont, and never will, use them.

So, as a result, I stopped looking. I have my favs, and stay there. SH4 included.

As I wrote in another topic, the IL2 CLOD community found a way around that. They have their own dedicated servers these days.

Ubisoft has nothing to do with that anymore either.

Maybe it is an idea for the SH community ?
