This one is normal. Dark on my phone (tablet actually) and off white on my desktop.

Darker 25% is better, but still hard to read on the tablet. 15% is worse on the tablet.

The thing to do (if possible) is to NOT dictate ANY color in your post - that way the system can use the default color for whatever platform is being used.

The colors aren't being shown as BB codes (stuff inside of "[" and "]") so I have no idea what's causing it...

Given the reason it's happening, if you can't sort it out easily, just forget it and carry on.

Hey, thanks for the mod list. I'm not sure i am going to install absolutely everything. I don't really mind stock graphics, especially because I don't want to put more strain on my machine. Maybe there is something to increase performance? I have noticed that on rare occasions my frame rate drops a bit if I have the mini-map out....

Anyway, right now I'm interested in the UI mod. Does it come with any charts (speeds and so on)? Or do I have to install those separately? In any case, it has to wait until the weekend. I work most of the day reviewing software and when I get home I don't have any more patience to move files about. Just a few well placed torpedoes is all I need to finish my day with a smile

OK... here's another one... I should pay a subscription or something, because I seem to keep coming back with more problems

How high do the periscopes rise for you guys? My observation scope is useless because it barely scratches the surface. The indicator shows it at zero, exactly on the waterline. Maybe it's typical on a type VIIB or the coning tower I have mounted?

The attack scope goes a bit higher... but right now I just rage quit the game, because there were waves and I couldn't mark my target, although I could see it clear as day. It is as if my crew didn't spot it. They finally saw it, I marked it, but before I could make any settings, it "disappeared" again. This game is buggy as hell.

Yes there are some scope mods.

Check out "Downloads" you may find something there.

No, you shouldn't. Donations do get some perks, but help is not one of them. Many people here have asked for help over the years, and many have learned and gone on to help others. The best thing you can do is keep asking questions and then down the road share what you've learned with others.

Of course donations are always welcome, but never required.

Steve's absolutely right.

Donations are not compulsory.

Help is always given voluntary.

However Subsim does not run on thin air.

I know I have said this before, but it does sadden me when I see Subsimmers who have been part of the "Family" for a long time sometimes years still have not bothered to give something back. It maybe they have in other ways and they think that is their contribution. If so, so be it.

I got to a point where I thought I now know enough to give something back to others.

I know how difficult it can be when you start out.

You have a lot of questions but unfortunately as I found out when I started you do not always get the full answer to the question you have asked, and you are still left not really knowing what to do next.

It has taken me time but I am trying to address at least a few of the issues with some step by step tutorials and information that is going to help any "Newbie" from getting frustrated trying to set up SH.
