Talk to me on Steam darnit!

What platform are you using? It's a little different for each one.

The Alfa, from the RA mod.

Ok, I've got another question: how do I blow ballast?

There's usually something red that looks like you shouldn't click it on the maneuvering station.

On the American 688i, it's a red handle on the bottom left. I spend most of my time in the 688i....I will have to get reacquainted with the Russian subs here soon so I can help.

To cybermat47

Target designation in RA should be the same as stock dw to my knowledge. I haven't played the alfa much but assuming your using torps, you should just have to click on your target on the targeting map, or select it on the scroll down, assign it to the desired weapon tube, and then set your presets.

Ballast blow is a white knob looking thing at the bottom left I believe, but if not, you should be able to find it by holding the mouse over the controls until the label pops up.

But beware, the alfa is very tricky to manuver, especially at high speeds. Sharp turns at flank will usually cause the sub to drop 50m and depth changes will be very drastic and will probably result in an overshoot past the desired depth. Also ballast blow results in extreme pitch up, and can cause complications with wire guided weapons.
