Thanks for all the help guys, i've started the patrol again and en route to my patrolgrid I came across a small convoy (4 freighters) escorted by 1 destroyer. Should i mention the outcome?

All 5 straight to the bottom and for me only destroyed my attack periscope and damaged my conningtower (slight miscalculation in distance between a freighter and my VIIC/42... Couldnt dive fast enough and hit the thing with 15 knts....

Lesson learned: save multiple times during a patrol with different savegames
