Using the Generic Mod Enabler (GME) it would seem easy to change game sounds. Do you favor any particular sound packages?

Thank you, I will put it into JSGME for a try.

I'm curious if there are other mods that you guys use in addition to GWX3? Many choices.

As you can see, most of the mods are the same for both lists but, there are a few that are type specific. These lists are very taxing on a computer. I have 8GB of ram, and use the 4GB patch by Privateer, otherwise I get a CTD without it. Also with some of these mods, your load time will increase to around 5-10 minutes, maybe longer.

But then I'm biased.

Thank you, this information makes me all the more curious to try the different options.

I was having problems with the mod enabler. An error message when attempting to load a mod, that It could not write the files. Then I could not close the mod enabler- it had to be shut down using Task Manager.

This was resolved by taking advice offered here: Reinstall the game in a spot other than Windows 7 program files. Thank you.
