Would PE4 be considered a supermod that these ships are incompatible with? I was able to use the Arleigh Burke with PE4, but don't see the Iowas or Lexington as playable options.

Not really. I did a quick headcount on the number of AA guns the Lex extrordinar will have: At least 178 induvidual AA guns. I guess that would make her an overkill as a carrier escort. Still, you can never have too many AA guns, especially when the Kamikazes starts rainin`, eh?

I have for some time, been occupied with a huge project; Updating the older mods, and introducing a few new ones.

North Carolina class:

Lexington class rebuild USS Constellation and Lexington class 1942 refit:

http://www.gamefront.com/files/21146...ngton_V1.0.rar

Montana class:

http://www.gamefront.com/files/21146...ntana_V1.3.rar

South Dakota 1939:

http://www.gamefront.com/files/21146...akota_V1.4.rar

Iowa class:

http://www.gamefront.com/files/21146..._Iowa_V1.0.rar

South Dakota class 1920:

http://www.gamefront.com/files/21146...akota_V1.0.rar

USS West Virginia:

http://www.gamefront.com/files/21146...ginia_V1.1.rar

USS Tennessee:

http://www.gamefront.com/files/21146...essee_V1.1.rar

All of these ships have the CXAM-1 air search radar, SG surface search radar. All except the West Virginia and Tennessee have barrels independant of each other.

All battleship sized shells have a physical 3D model looking like this:

If you have my old Montana mod you can find several different skins for that ship. Those should also work with the SoDak and Iowa. They are easy to apply to the other ships.

So... Continuing with the H-39. Radars are working, the directors... not so much. I removed the directors and then made new nodes for the radars, instead of having them inside the node to the directors. Only then did the radars work. Not that the radars are going to help that much. On a clear sunny day the visual will outrange the radars. Also there`s new 16 inch guns for the H-39.

The ship now has a working damage model. I don`t suppose any of you know what could possibly do this? Now guess what kinda ship did that to one of the most heavily armored ship ever imagined.

H39's secondary artillery work only against airplanes? i never seen that turrets moving or firing against ships, and your's is powerful unit usable in Operation Monsun And why you're abandon the blog, is easier to follow there evolution of every unit

Default Ship textures

Well, I'm no authority, but I think Karl's textures are some of the best out here, IMHO! I was very happy with the improvement he made on the Iowa, compared to the stock version.

that may be, but in my opinion all the ships need to be retextured, because the textures in use do mostly not fit the size of the modelled structure e.g. windows and bitmap details are stretched or too big/small etc, the hull isn`t smoothed correctly, not all sides are painted etc...
