Because General Topics are so famous for always staying on topic

Just bought my first guitar about a month ago, an Epiphone SG (G-400).
Don't have any pictures of it, but this is how it looks:

Now I only need to learn playing the damn thing I can already pump out some of the simpler riffs, but my fingers are just not fast and accurate enough yet to do some harder stuff. But what can you expect after just one month of playing?

My second post and screwed up already.
I was responding to Flatsixes post.I did realise my meanderings and did apologise at the end of the post but this has nothing to do with this thread...again.

No hard feelings, I apologize for any anger I may have projected at you, pulling an all nighter finishing a project must give me a short fuse.

Welcome to the forums!

Eh, you didn't make no boo-boo. You replied to someone else, both were perfectly legit posts, it's not like you interrupted the thread out of nowhere to talk about something completely removed from the original topic.

Edit: oh just so we stay on topic -

Don't sweat it. You showed your guitars, you wanted to show something else you love to do.

@ Bort: SURPRISE! I'm not commenting on your comment to Mike, but to your oboe pics. Awesome! I love all kinds of music, and my collection includes everything from classical to big band to jazz to country to rock. A great lesson I've learned: Music will get you through times of no girls better than girls will get you through times of no music.

Actually that's on old '60s quote involving drugs and money, but I thought it would fit here.

Heh. No harm done. Besides, guitar players are notoriously undisciplined (although judging from the quality of your ship building, I think you might be an exception). Furthermore, you are plainly married to a Saint. That's gotta count for something.

I'm glad to see that we've got the beginnings of our our woodwind section with Bort and Frau Kaleun, although I tend think that the former should handle the sheet music. The closest I've ever come to making music with my mouth is via tin whistle and harmonica. (A Blues Harp is still the most fun you can have for under $30.)

I'm telling you, Subsims' got talent. I wonder who we'd have to bribe to get a musicians' sticky?

I don't have any pics...

But I have 2 trombones, 3 guitars, and a conch horn.

My older bro has a 1975 Gibson Les Paul custom double neck and an early Fender Strat.

He isn't, but based on the 2nd pic I propose we change his screenname to n1nj4_7yr4n7

Don't I know it, Steve! Music is universal, and having something that I knew really well when coming here to college - where a lot was unknown to me - was a really good thing.

EDIT: I also think a subsim band would be quite the sight to behold!

We got horns!!!

I'll start looking through the portfolio for something arrange for trombone, oboe, piano, conch, violin, synth, bass, kazoo and 800 guitars. I'm sure there's something lurking in the Frank Zappa Big Band file that'll be just perfect!

Or you could try PDQ Bach.
