LOL!

Actually, they started it with one. No joke. They did an invocation.

Lord, we ask your benevolent guidance so that we may not say anything irreparably offensive to our potential business partners over the course of the next 45 minutes.

That is ridiculous. The last two things I would talk about on a business lunch are politics or religion, let alone politics and religion.

And they mean it. You pick your battles here. If there's an invocation at a school board meeting, you don't say anything, you just bow your head and mumble an "Amen" even if you're an agnostic heathen such as myself.

Ah sweet, sweet liberal tears!

Seriously what are you guys complaining about? You won another 13 months of unemployment benefits, extended the child tax and tuition credits and cut taxes. If nothing else that will make some pretty good sound bites come 2012.

I'm a believer. My wife, child and I go to our cozy little traditional Lutheran church every Sunday. I play the organ, direct the adult choir (who actually sound pretty good for a bunch of hacks) and even cook for Summer Bible Camp every year. But what you are describing sounds too close to state-enforced religion for my comfort. A public schoolboard meeting is not a religious service.

I agree. I've been to many church functions with friends, been to many church services on my own, heck even went to Catholic high school....but you're right, a school board meeting is not the place for an invocation. But in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't hurt anything. I wish it weren't so, but there's bigger battles to fight.

millionaire status not a requirement for participation.

i see TVM is STILL blind. or perhaps just unable to see the letter "A" followed by two "L"s

Whats the matter TVM? You dont want them to give you a tax cut?

lol so fun watching the Lefties heads spin over this. Sad thing is unemployment will be extended but won't be paid for, so more debt added.I suppose will have to excuse this one compromise since it's in lame duck.Round 1 goes to the Republicans.Let's hope they pull out Round 2, which will be the DREAM Act.Must stop this amnesty attempt.

BTWemocrats try to claim to be the party in favor of what's fair? Nothing more fair than lettting EVERYONE keep their tax break.

Ha, mookie, you need to move to ore-gone. You'd be in political heaven. It's one party rule here.

I'm starting a new party.

We're not the Tea Party, or the Coffee party.

We're the Keg Party. We're for people who are tired of the useless words of the political machine and are instead for the betterment of the entire nation through Beer.

Our agenda: Improve domestic beer quality to the levels of good European beers, and thus regain stature and credibility for America on the world stage. Meanwhile, the national debt will improve as American beers, fueled by American ingenuity and know-how, gain acceptance and become a desired commodity in leading hospitality establishments the world over. Peace through superior hops. Opposition party leaders will be known as "Beer Hall Putz" our national fraternity will be "I Tappa Keg" and our national slogan will be, "I'd tap that!"

Currently, our party consists of myself, financial officer Bea Sotted, publicist N.E. Briated, and legal team Stan & Ken Dronk. New members are welcome, just bring the beer and let's get this party started!

Yubba like keg party, no like lefty radical liberal Dems. What's wrong about being a right wing nut job, took oath to protect constitution, from all enemies foreign and domestic. There is alot of talk in DC, about how much money they are losing because of the current tax rates, they sure haven't done nothing to earn it, but too waste it. Now there is talk of giving 1% GDP to the UN for climate change.

I have to agree along these lines. Millions are spent daily concerning foreign affairs with little to no return. The blue collar worker gets to pay for it all. Make sense to you?
