An elite officer just that?

I saw in the television of a video capture of a Saudi prince beating a hotel serviceman in an elevator in UK that the authorities found dead due to chest and head injuries in his home several days later . . . .

There are rumors that made it to newspaper then of the current Malaysian Prime Minister involvement in a romantic affair with a young Mongolian model which was murdered and whose body was literally blown off by police officers because she was feared to have enough information about corrupt practice on a certain weapon deal. . . . .Of course the Prime Minister was rumored to be behind the murder.

A recent Israeli president was charged with rape in the court but eventually freed after some out of the court settlement and political deal.

A certain Malaysian prince made the headlines couple years ago for abusing her Indonesian wife bordering into perversion and torture(drugging by doctor, etc). Fortunately she was also of American descent(or citizenship) and she made a call for help to the US embassy in Singapore while she was in Singapore which prompted the authorities to SAVE her. She has become a celebrity since and won many sympathies here. Rape was in her story too before she was married to the prince. In my impression she's the kind of women one would call a worthy princess with the right beauty, brain and elegance. But her story is a tragic one and the prince just wasn't worthy of her or even being called a prince.

But the worst are probably those which never made it at all to the media and which are still largely unknown.

A certain Brunei prince is known to have large super luxury boat or yacht named titty or titties I and titties II...I hope it doesn't get weirder than that.

Personally I believe one can find the lowest people of all in the highest of places.
There's something very unhealthy about being extremely rich and or powerful that made one a person without the need to nurture courtesy and observe common respect to fellow man.

Not a hotel employee but rather the princes "servant" (read gay lover). The prince is lucky it happened in London rather than back home where they still execute people for buggery.

Oh really it was reported to be a hotel employee here and the guy seemed to be wearing some kind of hotel uniform.

That's how they reported it on the BBC world news tonight.

Ah thanks now it's clearer and made more sense . . . .tv news these days ...

Thumbs up for British rule of law! I really respect that to the point of admiration!

Asians or specifically ASEAN have a lot to learn with regard to rule of law and the building of civilized society.

Why does the press feel the need to publish such details? Why do we feel the need to read them? I feel dirty reading what this bastard did.

The comic relief of the underwear photos did not make up for it. But they should be plastered all over whichever prison he gets sent to, good advance publicity for his future prison "buddies".

I think that he will make a lot of "buddies" where hes going.

"I hate to think how much is going to be wasted keeping this piece of filth protected from other prisoners."

They're protecting that piece of trash... if it were me I would of walked in and told the lot of them that he is "a sick pervert that tortures women and dresses in their underwear" and throw him to the wolves.

25 years, even with no possiblity of parole hardly seems like justice in that case...

No, I think the sentence in question is life, with no possibility of applying for parole for 25 years. I certainly hope it means he's never out.

On the other hand the fact it's a plea bargain does make you wonder. He's not the first case in Canada where the question of parole for a multiple murderer would cause uproar though (see Carla Homolka), and if it ever does come to a parole, I certainly do hope there is a big public outrage.

Another disturbing thought: imagine if this guy actually got to be a high-ranking officer in a real shooting conflict

Well I'm just speculating that he will get the same protection as our most notorious killer, Clifford Olsen.

Their reasoning is that should Williams attempt parole in 25 yrs, the public will still remember him and lessen the chances of him getting it. They may be on to something. I was talking with my wife and a friend of hers who was in her mid 20's. Somehow we got on the topic of mass murderers and when I mentioned Clifford Olson, neither had heard of him. I can understand my wife as she's originally from the Philippines but her friend was born and raised in Ontario and is a very intelligent young woman. I just assumed that Clifford's notoriety would be public knowledge but obviously I was wrong. She and my wife where pretty shocked when I showed her on the internet the level of his depravity. Even more shocking for those of you unaware of this case is how the RCMP eventually went along with a deal first proposed by Clifford to reveal the locations of his victims. They paid him $100,000 in 1981(money was given to his wife) to locate 11 victims. $10,000 per victim but he gave them a deal on the first one and revealed it for free. I can still remember the outrage my dad showed when he first learned of it. He has some buddies in the RCMP and they where probably even more outraged. Hard to believe I know, that such a deal could be made, but for anybody interested as to why they went along with it, just google Clifford Olson. Whatever their reasoning was at the time, they should of found a loop-hole to get out of making the payments but they said that would endanger any future deal making they may need to make. Bah!! Anyway, sorry for the rant. This guy still makes my skin crawl, especially with his latest nonsense about suing the government for stopping his old age pension.

Yeah, as I said, it's certainly something that you can see with Paul Bernardo and Carla Homolka. While the latter did get her parole, I think the uproar caused by it will probably make the authorities think twice about releasing criminals like that again. In this case, I think the press is doing an important civic service, by ensuring that this sticks in the public mind and allows them to be a force to reckon with when it comes to the questions of parole etc.
