it really is all nonsense.

We should send our feds out to sea in an old diesel boat with worn out engines that wont run another minute.

OVERHAUL THE TAX CODE

and then you will get the tools required to

OVERHAUL THE DIESELS

truth be known there are so many "pet projects" that politicians pour money into... and government spending in the United States is absolutely OUT OF CONTROL and must be curtailed.

Between the Federal, State, County, and City tax increases, increase license fees, increased medical and unemployment insurance, and the fact that I can't get any business loans right now because I'm a hard working white American, it's gotten to the point where there is no point. There is no incentive for working your ass off in America any more.
You have a private mafia organization called "Federal Reserve" who create money where no money is and give it for free to whom they ever want (usually banks and big businesses).

Nuff said

Oh if we could only go back to the good ol' days of the 1950s with Ward and June and the Beav and the....90% top marginal tax bracket?!

A four percent increase in taxes is not socialism.

Until that 4% is assessed to you! So who is my 4% supporting now?

AVG - its going to support all those hard working people who struggle to make it by sitting at home playing on their game systems instead of getting jobs. Its supporting all those people who have such a hard time going to the store to use their food stamps, because thats difficult work you know. It also goes to support the politicians who want to spend money that doesn't belong to them on stuff that no one really needs.

That isn't a new thing, nor is it specific to any one party or political philosophy. Both "sides" have been at fault for decades on the above.

Hope that clears it up for ya! *Yes I am being sarcastic

Don't vote Democrat. The thing here is Democrats nominated and elected a person with no experience in business at all. Our current President on training wheels never met a payroll. Never filed taxes on a business. Never had to work with an accountant handling business issues. Yet he and the Democrats in Congress are "fixing" taxes on small businesses, which of course will make it harder for them to expand business and grow their own employment pools.

Democrats want it both ways. On the one hand they want all these jobs. On the other, they want to tax the crap out of the people who actually create jobs.

SeaDemon, on the surface your right.

But the "republicrats" are pure democpublican lites - and have been since 96.

Both sides are at fault, though yes one is slightly worse than the other.

Until we make the government get serious about reigning in spending, nothing will change.

I agree that Republicans in the past few years have not been fiscally sound. I should have added that we need to hold Republicans accountable to the "fiscal responsibility" label they typically claim. I hope they got the message when we booted them out in 06' for that very reason. But there is simply no comparison to current Democrats and their reckless spending, taxation, and deficit explosions.

At least Republicans understand that consumers need confidence to spend, and businesses need capital to expand operations and create employment. Democrats absolutely do not get that. And as such, they're not an option if you actually want job creation or investment/consumer confidence.

Digest that, and then tell me who is in need to overhaul his tax code first!?!?

I'm still researching. It's a major decision, I don't do anything on impulse. I do need to decide soon. I found a good Realtor and I'm putting my house on the market Monday.

My brother gave me some good advice. He said: "Don't make the full commitment up front. Travel to the places you think you might want to live and spend a little time there. Then decide." Think it's good advice and I'll probably do that before making the final decision.
