I decided to start trying some mods today. First off, the Generic Mod Enabler is AWESOME! I wish I had a tool like that when I was into Flight Sim.
Anyway, I've tried 2 so far and really like both of them; Real Environment, and NSM4 Classic (to make the ships sink a lot slower.) After installing NSM4, I set up a tanker to shoot at to try it out. I really liked the slow, realistic-looking sinking. The stock sinking just looks silly it's so quick. The only problem I have is that during the lengthy sinking, a huge column of smoke builds up a mile or so into the air. While it looks really cool, it drops my framerates into the single digits when I look at it. I can't tell which addon is causing it, but I'd prefer to keep both of them anyway. Does anybody know where there is some sort of config file that I can edit to limit the amount of smoke buildup?
