Game crashes after loading my saved games. - Page 2

Had the exact same problem with gwx3.0 saved games, tried reinstalling a couple times but still crash loading saved games except while in port.

I've got vista 32 bit plus sh3commander 3.2.

Used driver sweep and removed I think it was gtx 8800 nvidia driver 180.48, and installed 181.22 while in safe mode. Working good at the moment. I'll get back if it starts messing up loading saved game during patrol.

I was just working on a beautiful patrol over to CA28. I sunk 4 ships a long the way, and torpedoed one in the patrol grid itself (just outside of new york). I saved after every sinking, and after my patrol was complete, and then once more. All the saves were very far from one another - like a minute on 512x. All were on the surface, with no sense of anyone nearby. My last 4 saves were corrupted. I had to load almost all the way back to Lorient (after my first kill just out of biscay). Anyway, I wasn't going to bitch about it because this has been an issue from the very start with sH3, but...you guys gave me the incentive

Someone mentioned a method of saving, where you make a save that you want to keep, and then make another, 'expendable' save. When you want to load your patrol, load the next to last save, the one before the expendable file.

If that makes sense, lol

Anyways, I use that. So far no problems. :hmm:

Yeah i understand.. i think i'll use this.

Just went to load a saved game, i'd just sunk 35k tons with 3 torps in my little Type IIA , but it wont load...

I did save near a convoy... this is not normally an issue for me.. my rig is pretty powerful, but i've been stung... i wont that do that again. I love this game but i hate redoing missions due to crashes.
