Even with the Susim meeting survivors back at their posts, there seems to be less people at the forums.

Well, I spent the summer away from SH3 and Subsim with a game server project I was helping my nephews set up and learn.

Now that school is back in session and things have settled down, I'm back.

Not that it necessarily counts for much.

That's the financial crisis, I heard "Tom the electrician" is having a hard time filling his U-Boot diesel tank
Nice barb!

Guess he has to team up with "Joe the Plumber"!

I'm afraid that poor old SH3, all togather with GWX, is losing the race with time-wheel...

Despite it's gameplay... visuals are far away from Oct 2008 standards...

Thanks God that OLC gave some visual-life to this great sim.

Just hope that Privateer and wolves understand that only visual improvement could "save the patient"...

Everything else in GWX3 would be surplus effort for 2009... gameplay is already fine, for the last two years...

Can't beleive that SDK for SH3 is secret...:rotfl:

...or SH5 is closer than we think ?

Considering the number of people playing GWX and taking into account the fact that some peoples computer specs don't afford them the ability to play SH4, I envisage many people playing GWX3 well into 2009 and beyond.

With regard to the SDK:

Even if it were released tomorrow, it would be of little use now, apart from allowing one or two tweaks to be made to obstacles that have never been overcome thus far.

Too much work (from a GWX perspective) has been undertaken to the SH3 game engine and would need to be undone first before any remedial work could be performed.

The game engine in SH4 should hopefully give a lot more scope for modding purposes

Big Drop

During the Grand Sumsim Meeting someone wrote there was a drop in attendance on this forum.

Someone else mentioned that this was due to people being in Houston.

Now, the Houston survivors are back. but forum numbers are nearly half of what they used to be even in the early days of SH-4 and the grand exodus to the Pacific.

Maybe we need to dig and revive the Who is keeping the honor of the U-boats thread.

What is going on?

Well this slacker got transferred to a job away from home where he actually has to work Quite a shock to the system I can tell ya. And to add injury to insult I'm on the night shift roster as well. Haven't seen daylight for months now!
Mind you when I logged in tonight and saw this thread it prompted me to look at my last post. It was back in March!! I didn't realise it was so long since I was here.

I will do better

Staying at house studying-sleeping-homeworks-and exams.
Everything which qualifies for a no-life!:p

Should we make u-boot battle and competition over multplayer and stuff like that? Maybe people are more interested to play and get to subsim and post message and comes talkative? But im not sure that will works....... sh3 online is not very popular.
Maybe the graet hope of GWX Gold will resurrect this forum?
