Perhaps. And so the Vice-Presidential nominee race boils down to a choice between a ranking Senator from Delaware who gives ridiculous answers to questions and the Governor of Alaska who can't answer the questions at all. Which one were you voting for again?
There is no Vice-Presidential nominee race.
I don't recall implying that there was one. Many other on the forum seem to imply that Palin's selection as VP will 'seal the deal' for McCain. I'm simply expressing that I don't feel that she is the asset that others seem believe.

I'm sorry. Did I what I wrote give you the impression that I was being favorable towards Senator Biden?

Yes, you are right. However, the McCain campaign now absolutely has to be shrewd in order to win. Neither Palin nor Biden are strong choices, but Palin, to borrow from fantasy football speak, has far greater downside potential.

@Takeda Shingen Rather than a huge quote, I'll just say that my remarks weren't meant to be contentious and agree that neither VP is a shrewd choice. I was more remarking on the choices of the Presidential candidates to keep their VP choices on a short leash or not. Wise choice on McCain's part to do so and unwise choice on Obamas not to do so, IMO. I don't think either VP choice is going to win the election. My true belief is that the election will, as usual, be won based on rhetoric since most people (present company excluded) won't take the time to research any of the claims made by either candidate and will vote for the person who says what they want to hear.

This is the part that confuses me...

I'm sorry. My formal style of writing occasionally makes it seem that I am angry when I am not. I know what you meant, and I was just messing around with politics without really messing around with politics.

Perhaps not the wisest choice for phrasing. Still, are you implying that I don't know how the system for presidential election works? :p

No apologies necessary I've been accused, on more than one billion occasions, of taking words too literally (i.e. not being able to read between the lines). I, too, have the problem of seeming angry when I'm not and then when someone makes an angry response, I get angry All part of the limitations of the typed word.

Now, what was it we weren't arguing about?:rotfl:
