I've got SH3 Commander installed already, I love it! I love that it generates a personnel file for me and I can read about my past patrols.

What are these other mods that you're talking about, because I may even have them installed already. I've installed a few different minor mods, but I just can't remember which ones they are. Is there a website around that has a list of all the current mods for SH3? I know there used to be one, but again, I can't remember what that site is.

Also, is it rare to come across aircraft carriers? Cuz I haven't seen a single one and i'm already in January of '43.

And the thing with starting a new career is I don't like being poor at the beginning of the game

so i cheated and edited one of the .cfg files so I could get more renown at the beginning of the career. Now I can't remember which file it was that I modified, so I can't do it again. And I don't even remember where I read that i could do that, it was so long ago now. And yeah I know, you guys will make fun of me, but that's okay.

Welcome aboard Kaleun RootBeerTuna,

The main repository for mods can be found here. Most of the main game controls are in the basic.cfg file, located in the SHIII folder/data/cfg. In regular SHIII coming across anything more than a light cruiser is extremely rare, only 1 did I see a CV playing the stock SHIII.

Your computer should be able to run GWX, though would recommend getting another gb of ram; it'll make a huge difference. Depending on your laptop specs you could be able to play it on there as well, I primarily play on my laptop with no problems at all. Once you switch to GWX, you won't turn back or accept anything less

Well I am already playing it on my laptop which is a Pentium M 1.73ghz with 1gb of ram with a crappy built-in video card. My desktop is quad-core 2.6 with 2gb of ram, and another crappy video card. I just gotta upgrade my video card, then I'll play it on my desktop. I guess I'll just have to start my career over again.

Also, I know you'll make fun of me again, but where do I edit the renown that I start with in a career? I've done it before, I just can't remember where it is.
