after you get your feet wet, (really wet, cosu will need it)

i suggest you download a supermod. there is a variety to choose from!

there is WAC,GWX(my favorite),Battle in the medditeranean, subwolves, LSH3, and NYGM tonnage war.

choose your favorite but if you have a weak computer, dont get gwx2.0, get gwx 1.0 or 1.3 or 1.4. either way, they are all great.

and is it true that brag is the famous author alexander braguine???:hmm:

Nope...He's actually a School Truancy Officer based in your area and he tells me he is keeping a watchful eye on you

Little Johhny goes into school after being absent the previous day,
"His teacher demands"Where were you yesterday?"
"I'm sorry Miss,my dad got burnt" replies Jonny
"Oh,I'm sorry,I hope it wasn't serious" says the teacher
To which Johnny replies,"Well, they don't mess about at the crematorium"

On first patrol with VIIC and have sunk 35k tons with 9 torpedoes left. Nice to find those unescorted tankers. And it is quite pleasant to have 1000m of water beneath the boat, as on my first few patrols in the IIA I inadvertantly crashed dived to 25m when the depth was only 19m. 6 crew dead including an officer and my torpedo man. Haven't made those mistakes again.

Have also bookmarked the links provided.

Your shark says it all. We need a book (Kingmaker) buying frenzy to prevent pant theft.

Ill take enough crew to fill the stations while submerged with none left over in the torp compartment. It means 42 guys in VIIB or C.

i used to have 45 guys in stock VII i think, engine room almost filled up with a spare engine crew taking all but 1 of the aft quarters, then 2 spare places for the sound room guys and 4 spare places for the watchcrew so they instantly went to sleep as i submerged.
my system was 1 nco and 3 rating on the watchcrew, the ratings steer the boat when on that watch and the nco mans the radio while the soundroom guys sleep. (soundcrew being 2 radio qualified ncos who dont have a replacement) on cruising duty means they sleep while the spare nco does the radio. worked very well in the stock game, action stations means the watchcrews do the repair and the torpedo guys are all busy, only a spare engine crew sleeping to relieve the ones on duty after an hour of depthcharging.
6 guys in torpedo room with 6 spare asleep. 3 watchcrews to rotate between watch, steering and sleeping. works well as the 3rd watch gets to sleep whenever you submerge

in GWX i am currently having a great deal of difficulty keeping the boat functioning, i may have to sack some of the swabbies. but then, its only my first patrol so they need some experience and qualifications too
