Dang, Rivet, what kind of TC do you run?
I've got at least 6hrs into my current patrol in a IXB. I've only used 3 torpedos, and hardly any fuel so I've got a long way to go unless I get into a honkin big convoy.
I had to abandon my first patrol because I couldn't load a save. I had saved on the surface just outside the bay after leaving Lorient. I haven't had any trouble loading saves with my new patrol (except for the horrendous load times).

you beat me to the question! Between work and children it can take me 4-5 weeks to end a patrol......this mus be a new form of "speed sh3"...very cool indeed.

Oh and for saved games I generally do an initial save and return, go 3 minutes and same a second instance named "trash". If there is a convoy around, once in the patrol area I try to save 2-3 times a session. You can always come back and delete from the list.

SO i uninstalled all SH's and reinstalled them. Since then it seemed to be fine

GWX1.03 saves are not compatable with GWX2.0 (far too many changes, adjustments and alterations)
