Thanks guys. I have a PM out for FLB sale U-999 to see if he would be agreeable. He has'nt posted since April so I dont know if he still visits or not. As far as the menu.ini I did'nt make any changes there. Every file I modified is in the original post. I did this by modifying Oak_Groove's original telegraph texture, then just copy/pasted onto all of the interior texture files.

As far as a German version . . . sigh . . . I will need someone fluent in German to tell me exactly which words are which in some of the voice files so I can isolate them & edit. Listening to the German "Rig For Silent Running" file it sounds like "Slish Vot". If "Slish" is "Silent" is "Vot" Running? Or is this another phrase altogether and where is the "Rig For" part?

Thanks, . . but I'm kinda thick. :hmm: Are you saying "Schleifahrt" is one word? Can you tell me exactly what that would translate to in English?
What words can I combine to get the phrase "Silent Speed"?

Also can someone rewrite the menu.txt items in the exact order they appear below?

English

1010=Silent speed
1011=Ahead slow
1012=Ahead one third
1013=Ahead standard
1014=Ahead full
1015=Ahead flank
1016=All stop
1017=Back slow
1018=Back standard
1019=Back emergency

German

1010=
1011=
1012=
1013=
1014=
1015=
1016=
1017=
1018=
1019=

Thanks

1013= ahead standart
1014= ahead full
1015= ahead flank
1016= all stop
1017= back slow
1018= back standart
1019= back emergency

german
1010= leise fahrt
1011= Kleine Fahrt voraus
1012= Langsahme Fahrt voraus
1013= halbe fahrt voraus
1014= volle fahrt voraus
1015= auserste kraft voraus
1016= machinen stop

Thankyou very much Kaleu. Jochen Mohr.
Can you tell me if the word "Leise" is spoken in SHIII, and which order is given to trigger this response?

That could get ugly quick. Believe me the last thing you want is a Tennessee/German on your boat. If anyone can come up with an acceptable phrase within the SHIII voice files, just point me to the words to combine and I will edit & rename the files.

I cant seem to find the "6 Dials Mod" either. Link is dead. Anybody know where I can find this?

Thanks

Hey that would be cool. Then you could do the normal state, panniced state and whisper state. Then I could speed up & slow down your voice a little to somewhat match the crew.

If you have a copy of my sound conversion of the Das Boot Sound Mod, when you select Silent Running you get Jurgen Prochnow saying exactly that, and in German. If I'm guessing correctly Jim's problem is that that sound file is also already available in GWX.
