Does anyone know how (or if) the airbases interact with each other?
Is it only a player submarine that forces an airstrike check? (this is kind of a does the light really turn off in the 'fridge question) |

Thus getting the enemy airbases right is more important as these contain the planes that you are more likely to see more frequently. But either way, it can be distracting seeing a plane that shouldn't be there regardless of nation. Not sure if it works the same in SH4. |

I had recieved a report that we had a task force in the area. A few hours after words, game play time, I found and reported a convoy. I was told good find but will redirect other assets and that I could return to base. A couple of minutes lator while still watching the convoy several U.S. torpedo and dive bombers showed up and started to attack the destroyers were all firing at them and some Jap Zero's showed up as well. I stuck around and came up next to the Fly boy servivors and rescued them then dove and headed out of there.
So you can't tell me that the game set up dosn't have air bases interact with ships and what not. Now I know those planes came from a Task force because I only have topedo bombers and dive bombers on the carriers only none what so ever at air bases. And at Freemantle, Midway and Pearl bases I have seen our planes flying around even come close for a look at my boat flying low. And at Pearl there is almost always a fly boy to rescue because they always ram the island for some reason or another. |
