Default An update.

Still in Scapa......... and alive!
One of 3 DD's left steaming back out to its station wherever that was, the other 2 kept coming albeit without any depth chages, one had blown its own racks off, the other hadn't but I'm presuming it ran out of ammo if thats possible?..
I got clipped by one on a pass and it curved away straight up the beach, to get a shot on the troopship I had to get harbour side as the open sea side, its port side, was protected by nets.
The remaining DD followed and by some deft maneouvring he managed to end up backed into the harbour wall which he proceeded to go astern along until he hit the dock behind stern on thats where he remained.
I put 2 fish into the transport, then a third for good measure before she sank.
Dilemma time, 2 inboard fish left - one forward, one aft. A DD straight in front of me moored just round the corner a large tanker - an easy shot once in position, a meduim tanker - not so easy or 2 small freighters?. Mmmm...... then again there's a BB listing 3000 yards away and its on my way out. I put 2 holes on the port side, perhaps 2 more this time on the starboard?........ decisions decisions...........
No contest personally, had to be the BB...........
Put 2 more fish into her before heading out into the open water, I've got 2 reloads outside but its 0900 ish, 35% on battery with a quarter of the Co2 meter used up.
The weathers iffy so visibility isnt great but I've had 2 Ansons fly over a couple of times so parking in the middle, reloading and recharging isn't impossible although better in the dark. Seriously doubt I can stay surfaced long in daylight, I'm going to see if the BB sinks, had to save - work in the morning - and then decide.
If she stays afloat I'll probably throw caution to the wind and go for a recharge of batteries and air, submerge and wait for dark to reload and let her have the lot , hopefully after 6 torps and holes either side she will finally sink .
Whatever happens after that I've got to get past the 3 DD'S in the outer harbour/approaches and get to my patrol area or lose renown going back early so to speak.
Did I mention I stopped here on the way to the North Atlantic? .
