It really gets interesting with Kovalainen racing too. But I bet my money for Kimi. Rosberg cant speak finnish and he´s driving under german (IIRC) flag so he can go f**k himself.

:rotfl:

Kimi will not win this year (or any other, he breaks cars), annoying Alonso probably will.

You Finns need to pull Mika out of retirement. Now THATS a driver!

I just hope, hope either Kubica or Heidfeld can pull of a victory this year. If so, drinks are on me!

Kimi didnt broke the cars, Mclaren didnt build the car strong enough for Kimi,
because when he kicks the tail of that car he is a GO.
but then something just screws up , like that one moment where the Tail of the car just flew off... really WTF? talking about quality

I hope Kimi doesn't win. I remember that last season before the start of the race at Interlagos in Brazil, Schumi was receving an award presented by Pele. All drivers gathered around to congratulate the Old Fox. The only one that wasn't there was Kimi. He was standing back down the starting grid and looked like he couldn't be bothered. When a reporter (Martin Brundle in this case) asked him why he wasn't there with others he just replied "I was taking a sh..t". How rude is that!!! I know that you don't have to like Schumacher, but you need to give him respect and credit, for he is the best F1 driver ever.
Let's see the new, talented guys stepping in. My bet is on Kubica.

remember when he slammed his wheel in the Sidepod of the williams in order to take him out so he would win the championship

Yeah, that was ice cold, nasty trick. That's why they call him an old fox. Nevertheless a true champ.

Seriously though... new faces on pole position please!

Actually, he did that twice. In 1994 he got away with it, and Damon Hill could only sulk(which he did for years), but in 1997 they smacked him, and removed his standing in the Championship. (Somehow he retained his points, but lost the standing lol)

Schumi is a great driver, but the dirtiest and least sympathetic ever. Even his brother Ralf refused to talk to him for a while, after Schumi almost put him in the wall at Monza.

Oh, and Kimi has broken a few Ferraris too during testing. I read somewhere that a McLaren-guy was saying he didnt care about the car, just how fast it could go all the time. Just look at Kimis breakdowns compared to teammates. He is without doubt one of (if not THE) fastest guy in F1 right now, but he rapes cars.

An F1 car is not supposed to last any more than it has to, then it would be slower. The engines for instance, no worries if it blows in parc ferme after the second race.

Nothing new. Senna did it to Prost once, and even admitted it years later.

You might be right, but it is hard for me to understand why something that Juan Pablo Montoya didn't manage to break got screwed up by Kimi.

IMO Kimi is the fastest guy on the track, but he not only lacks the necessary luck, but also doesn't seem to be able to make cars last enough to cross the finish line. Alonso has talent, but he has been backed up by a good team two years and given a reliable car -despite somewhat underpowered as the season advanced-, so it is yet to be seen what he can do now. My bet is he will be champion again only because of other's failiures, not for own merits. Not this year (But hold on and wait for the next!!).

I would bet for Kimi in case the Ferraris are superior enough to allow him being a bit more conservative with the car. But if McLaren's are too close, my bet is Alonso, as he will probably harvest his luck in Kimi's disasters. Renault? No, thanks, Fisichella is not regular enough as soon s pressure builds up. Honda? Nope, Button is very good, but Honda isn't. Barichello is too old and lacks motivation in the long run of the championship. Kubica is to my eyes a future champion, but BMW still hasn't found the right car. I have never seen a car win that hadn't been already going strong in the previous season. And Williams hasn't neither, so that puts Nico out of my bets.

My 0.2 cents

Yes, but quite different scenario. Senna got pole in the last race in Japan, but somehow pole position was on the (very) dirty side of the track, which makes P2 a better starting position. Senna said he would take Prost (P2) out if he passed him in the start, and he did. (Senna was allready pissed of at FIA because of a suspended two race ban because of a clash with Prost at Japan GP the year before, hehe)

Senna was arrogant and brimfull of pride, but nowhere near Schumis dirtyness, IMO.

Not supporting this Senna-incident of course, it was stupid.
