I don't know if there hasn't been any car bombings in southern Iraq, and also, there wasn't that as much terrorist activity there at any point in the war as in bagdad. (where is fallujah in Iraq anyway? If its in the south than i am proved wrong, but i was pretty sure it was in the northern part)

Not too North. A little bit around the Baghdad area.

The major reason is the political pressure (I guess)
due to car bombs (though the main target arn't UK soldiers)
and the rising KIA figures
