It is true that with auto targeting whenever you hit a vulnerable spot, it will be a critical hit (kaboom and bye bye). With manual targeting it's random, especially if you are using a mod that changes the damage model of the ship and its draft. So don't feel bad if you don't make one shot kills anymore. Fire two on the sucker just to be sure...

Is there a chart like thisone for GWX?

I remember I hade this colorscheme, ingame, with vanilla SHIII, would be great if it could work with GWX to and all its ships.

No as far as I know there is no such chart for GWX. This is partially due to the way GWX damage model works, but you can still use this chart as a reference. Try to experiment a bit and soon you will discover a few 'sweet spots'

The chart colours are near enough for torpedo purposes

There is no such chart for GWX.

The chart no longer specifically applies in GWX. More accurately, the critical locations (engine rooms, fuel bunkers etc.) still exist and can cause more damage, but their locations no longer exactly apply.

This is from a previous post I'd made on the subject:

The new GWX ships never had the boxes indicating their critical locations accurately placed (designers just copied the boxes from old ships over to the new ones). Since GWX changed the compartments around on the original ships, the boxes indicating their location may or may not be accurate as well.
Just keep in mind that it is no longer completely accurate and only gives a general guideline.

You can get better information from these two threads, discussing the best locations to target on ships:
