Now, if I could jes get the good Kpt to send me his e-mail so I can mail off his prizes

Who knows who will win the next poll, taking Kpt out of the running will change the dynamics. Plus, next time I will make time for the nominees to make a speech

Sorry guys... am having big PC troubles ATM... as soon as I get the PC issues resolved I'll be back to catch up on stuff.

Complete madness... hours of and three visits to my computer guy who is overworked and keeps forgetting stuff...

Not to mention inability to run SH3/GWX as a result... and having a looming patch deadline!!!!

ALL as a result of getting a DVD burner installed.

I'm about to go to the kitchen and get a low-tech hammer to install in my computer!

I'm getting totally random game CTD's with known STABLE files and occasional COMPLETE REBOOTS while in-game.

Crappola.

It shouldn't happen just by adding a DVD burner but I assume your PC guy made sure you have a strong enough PSU.

One thing I've learnt is that unless your PC is custom built then the manufactures only supply the bare minimum for what shipped with your pc.

This is the same guy who has custom built and worked on my PC for two years.

He's done flawless work until now.

Over the last 3 days...

First trip: The DVD burner sockets weren't plugged in. (noticed when I got home)

Second trip: My HARD DRIVE and video card were un-plugged (noticed when I got home)

I think he ran some diagnostics or something and kept getting interrupted.

After a little sleep I'm going to stay at his shop until it is all completed and totally functional.

Ahh - How things come full circle.

Kpt enters shop with PC.....

Kpt: "Here you go, can you give it a complete overhaul and make sure it works?"

PC Guy: "Sure, I'll ring you when it's ready"

Kpt: "No thanks, I'll just wait"

PC Guy: "Oh OK then"

Kpt patiently sits and reads PC magazines. Then after awhile gets up and starts pacing the shop eyeballing all the new gadgets. He thinks to himself "this is taking too long...."

Kpt: IS IT READY YET?

PC Guy: It's ready when it's ready, you wouldn't want me to release it infinished and buggy would you?

Kpt skulks off to a corner muttering something about Karma.
