Does this mean they actually started working on the patch just now?

Any word on fixing some of the more egregious AI problems like we saw in your video?

Great news! Thanks for keeping up the pressure, looks like it worked :-)

As you know, I am always willing to work with players and developers who put forth an honest effort. I would like to say that this continued support by Ubisoft is exactly what Silent Hunter 5 needs, and what the players who buy it deserve. For those on the fence, this makes buiying SH5 worth a serious second look.

This is good news.

IF the patches keep comming (obviously still many many many bugs) and IF they drop DRM I may buy this game (for about $5.00 USD).

Thanks for heads up Neal, haven´t played SHV for 2 weeks.
All those little bugs were getting annoying.

Yes, the issues my video illustrated were not actually AI oriented. There seemed to be some dynamic campaign waypoints put on land and, when the AI has patrol waypoints it just follows them and does not use its automatic land detection routines (the AI trusts the level designer and expects him not to ask it to go on shore ). They are aware of this issue and I think (but it has not been confirmed) they will fix it.

Yay. If everyone adopted your attitude, support for the game would stop right now. Way to go.

Great news. Where did you get word of this though? I'm just looking to read the original article, or do you have some friends inside Ubi that talked to you?
