To answer the first post...

The GWX dev team and crew have not forgotten the U-boats.

We still have work to do.

Thanks Brag! It's one of my best moment in sh3! I have ever met 'illustrious' one time but failed to sink it (21knots it's really fast ). So this time when i launch my torpedoes (tubes 1,2,3,4 electric torps) i said '****! they will miss it' ( in french: "et merde! ça a foiré!" ) so i quickly prepare tube 5 and 6 for aft shot and... and i hear this loud explosion! followed by 3 others!
What i like mostly is that i never see him sinking, i heard sounds with hydrophons as i tried to escape escorts! But i was doubtless about his fate!
It was as if i were Von Tiesenhausen with Barham sinking! cool...
If i had failed to sink it, it would be in the video too! I just try to show what happen to me, the good ( illustrious) and the bad (the 5 torpedoes for the C2!). For the part 3 i will try to make it in english!

after the loss of U-47 (VIIB) I am now sailing with a new boat in October 1940. It is U-107, a IXB. On first patrol with a very green crew. Have sunk 44000 tons so far and still have 13 fish left. First time in a IX boat and I love the amount of torpedoes they carry.

After the loss of the VIIB and all its crew, I have set forth from Lorient in August '40 bound for CF84 in my new IXB, which has yet to be given a name, it must EARN a name! So far, I am loving the IXB, handles pretty well.

Welcome to your new life!

31 Oct 1941 , U 123
I'm about to start heading back to Lorient. Sank 18 Freighters, 1 destroyer. Still have 4 torpedoes left. The IXB can create a real ship's boneyard.

Sadly U179 sank in the mid Atlantic during its 5th (and final) cruise. Hull failed due to previous damage while escaping being Depth Charged by three destroyers, who saw the IXD2 rather too soon

U48 Type VIIB now on patrol 2 (October 1939), off Scarpa Flow, heading for the Altantic. Very good first patrol through the English Channel & back. 12 Merchants sunk - even obeying Bdu's endless radio instructions.
Crew learning fast. Commander learning faster

Type VII, out of St.Nazaire, 5th patroll.
Got my first Liner last patrol, lucky shot on a foggy night.
Good crew, good boat, what more does a Kaleun need?
