Success - Success - Success - Success
All,
I finally have the Beta v0.26 running in the museum. I have to narrow down two black ships and a names.cfg issue. I will publish my fixes list once updated... Standby.... ************ 2 - black skined hulled ships to go. ************ 1 - black skined hulled ships to go. *********** 0 - black skined hulled ships to go. *********** 1 problem ship to look at...

I am just outside Jacksonville south of town about 1 mile off the beach and spent the the last few days cleaning up the yard and cutting up down trees.
The northern St Johns County has a lot of damage and some still without electric power. I am just happy everyone is safe up here, prayers for North and South Carolina. Jeff

Yes, Jeff, when Matthew blew by Florida it was a darned dry hurricane. Sure the air was full of horizontal rain but it was very small drops, almost like a mist. I doubt I got more than 4 or 5 inches of rain.
The Carolinas and Virginia got all the water we didn't. Water does much more damage than wind and kills more people. Did you notice that most of the damage was done in the ending portion of the storm with the west wind? That really surprised me, as I expected the northwest quadrant of the storm to be our worst. Instead the southwest quadrant did almost all our damage. What happens to a pretty heavy gauge metal sign securely attached to a fence when you put 100 mile per hour wind behind it. This sign faces east, so the west wind behind it filled it like a cloth sail! The fence isn't leaning. That's the effect of a wide angle lens.

CTD - it's not just a job
|
All fellow Crash Test Dummies (CTDs) can direct their browsers to the friendly confines of the Google Drive / WIP / Campaign Stuff folder for CampaignUSLayer.7z for inclusion in your "fully" updated update of FotRS U v-26Beta... Be sure and see s7rikeback's recent updates...
Unfortunately, in my haste to put this out, I included the DynamicMis and PatrolObjectives, with all of their sub-folders and files, so you'll get all the untested edits in those also... |

My museum runs also, so long as I don't try to go past the TOGO freighter, else it crashes hard. |

Ermmm Togo Freighter ?? what name class it that? My naked ladies were the NBB NewJersey & NOL_Schliemann.. I have renamed all internal files to match ship names. but forgot to update the roster texture links. Now the problem ship is... NSHOS=Hospitalship > RedCross Folder If I include it, my whole game / museum either CTD's or on other instances will not show it all in the musesum via the RedCross folder

Ok I'm not understanding.
The last time I ran the .26 beta.....all was fine in the Museum. This is with my added modification....your mod list should look like this: 100 FalloftheRisingSun_Ultimate_v0.25_Beta_EN FOTRSU v0.26 Beta Update 092116 If the Google site has the two added together....maybe theres a problem with the combined modifications? You guys are running what other mods with the Beta? Sounds like the issue is with whatever you're adding.

FOTRSU v0.26 Beta Update 092116 This was my mod soap also, but was unable to play or visit the museum. So i began to check every file, roster, cfg within the sea folder area. This was because, as soon i deleted the sea folder and the sea folders within the roster files... The game and the museum ran 100%.

s7rikeback, I've just checked my original SH4 v1.5 install with the JSGME "Compare Snapshot" feature and nothing out of order there. The original game files are as they were when I installed them. I suggest you do the same......provided you took a "Snapshot" of your clean game files when you first installed the game. If you didn't, it's too late now to take one. Your game files may be corrupted.
Using the "Compare Snapshot" found in the JSGME "Tasks...." menu heading is done without a mod "Activated" to the game. No modifications....just the original game files. You may find you have some "NEW" files added to the game.......their usually your in-game pictures you've taken (if you've taken any), or one called "Sim.bin" which is created in the "Main" game folder when you first start the game after installing. Either of these are OK to have been added since you took your original Snapshot.....any others, there's reason to suspect you've got corruption. There are four "Status" possibilities for your game files: SAME.....All's well. The files are the same as when you first took the "Snapshot" DIFFERENT.......No Good, unless you know why the file is different. NEW......Those in-game images you've taken? REMOVED.....Could be the two German flag images as my above picture points out....For some reason the game removes these two German flag images after starting the game for the first time?!? Outside of the one DIFFERENT file this old image shows......The original game files are intact and good to modify. ============= I have no issue with running the Museum with the following two mods: 100 FalloftheRisingSun_Ultimate_v0.25_Beta_EN FOTRSU v0.26 Beta Update 092116 I see there's a v0.26 Beta on the Google site. I'm downloading now to compare it to the combined two mods above. They should be the same (I guess) unless there was a change made to the two older mods when the v0.26 Beta was made.

There's been quite a few changes CapnScurvy, among them, trying to go from tga to dds files, and fixes for flags, so that ships can be used for more than one country. I'll see if I can find a few of the posts... it was about the time you left for the Great North.
Edit: Well, your last post was at the bottom of page 143, and RR started doing inventory for an update at the bottom of page 144. I'm just now getting through page 148 again, and there's quite a few useful posts in there... max-peck probably makes the best use of a quote, so his posts pack a lot in them, but everybody had a little something... unfortunately, all the parts of the mod did not play well together a few pages later.
