Who else is holding up the honour of the U-Boats?

U-123, 13 Aug. 1941. 2 miles SW of Madeira. Brisk wind, sunny sky.

Even though many of our comrades have gone west, we're off on another patrol to cause havock with the enemy. Who else is holding up the honor of the U-Boot Service?

Staying with U-511 in the Atlantic to create havoc for the queen.
Besides, from what BdU tells us, the Americans in the Pacific are their own worse enemies with unfinished submarines. No worries!

U-65, in the crushing black oblivion of Davey Jones' locker off Neufundland after Paukenschlag 2.

Is P a family name?

U179 IXD2 March 1943 off the Azores enroute for a patrol off Cape Town. Knocked down three Ansons before a Short Sunderland almost did for me. Four AA crew dead, flooding in all bar forward compartment. Full marks to Engineering Officer who took control of the repair crew, and kept us afloat. Fuller marks to the two replacement AA crew who stood in the carnage of our deck to see the Sunderland off. Still seaworthy. Currently at 180m shaking off three angry escorts with no sense of humour.
