Hi guys!

Some new from myself....

1. I populated 6 harbours so far... and I expect to finish the player harbours this weekend, as my weekend already began.

2. I once again reworked a crane.. the medium crane. With privateer exporter tool I managed to export the default harbour cranes. Had only to re uvmap them:



Fits perfect in the scene!

Looks realy gr8. Fantastic work HanSolo. And maybe u cann put shpis near the crane so it would look like loading the ship. I cann weit too see ur mod relised.

Guys just one question:

Are any shore objects in SH5 destructable with deck gun? Or, in other words, can any shore objects in the game take damage? I ask because I would like to use such object in a mission I design.

My harbour objects are not destructable and any Sh5 land object is not destructable at all! It should be possible to make destructable land objects; adding zones to the object and a possible damage model could lead to a destructable land object.Would surely be a nice mission and a good variety for the game design.

Default One question from me

I think it is a gr8 idea to add destructable objects in enemy harbors. But if is not posibol maybe just add life to enemy harbors as well. I dont know did u think about theat HanSolo. I guess it is much work too be dann and u dont ride harboes theat offten but maybe same stuff would be great.

I was thinking about historical mission in which u-boat was ordered to shell allied arctic weather station. I think I would need some kind of destructable hut and storage building. I think even if the building started to burn and produce smoke would be enough.
It would be also great if land based small arms were returning fire from the station. What do you think? Would it be possible to do at all?

Han, could it be possible for the next release (v 0.5) you put the campaign text files in English (or make two versions ENG-GER) ?

Your mod is very good for better harbours but changes my campaign texts to german. I can´t understand much things.

(I also want to know why you modify campaign files)

@Lord Neuro

Enemy harbours definitely won´t get harbour adds, I think because adding them is pain in the a... ! I have to place every single unit and define height and exact position. This takes 1-2 hours for harbours and enemy harbours you will see very rarely, I think.


@Sybgneus

I would try that if such buildings would also have a use for the campaign.
I can not make any promises, that this will work and also only for one mission the time effort will be to big, I think.

@marleyman

That has to do with the open horizon campaign version.
For version 0.5 I should have campaign versions from different mods.
For example Magnum Opus or Open Horizons.
I plan to make version for the most played campaigns.

Han, dont bother with OH anymore, the new campaign we work now will have 1 brand new campaign covering 43-44 time frame and the actual black may will cover 44-45. Mission from OH will be split between these campaigns, so it will no longer exist.

We should talk and see how can we find a solution to make these 2 mods compatible. Im adding tons of ships in the harbors, historical ships like Zeppelin, Tirpitz, Bismarck and many more but everything is worked out on separate layers. Hope you do the same, so there will be no conflicts like overwritten layers. Cheers.

Ok, then I won´t make an OH version of my mod.
I also would like to know if there will be soon a new version of magum opus,
so I don´t have to make work twice. I work on additional layer so the harbour enhancement mod can be added to every campaign.
Maybe we should have a talk this sunday?

@all

Only 1 harbour to go! But Toulon I had to delete from my list because placing units in this harbour is not possible.

Then I think about adding some sounds to the models too and finally I need some testers for this mod.
Some with low end machine specs and some with mid end machine specs

Never maind the enemy harbors. It was just a idea. U just keep the good work u r doing. I m aplaing for testing. Comp is:
MB Asus P5KR
P intel dual core e6650 2,3 stock clock on 2,8
RAM 2 gb 800 mhz geil ddr2
GK ginward gtx460 1 gb

So if my rug is in range of what r u looking for testers im for it.
