The only penguins we see in this zoo are the demented birds with a Scapa Flow fixation

Kaleun Griffin reporting in with his VII/B. Back on patrol after far too long a break from combat. First patrol is almost over and have not sighted a contact, extremely disappointed and will continue the hunt until I am almost out of the required fuel to get back to Lorient. Returning to base with all fish (bar the one Bernard fired before even getting to open sea), is almost as bad as sinking an axis ship!

Depending on your present position, lots of traffic in approaches to Gibraltar (lots of enemy air activity, too)

U-102 reporting very happily from the end of her 9th Patrol, having sunk 48K tonnes. Managed to sink all the escorts protecting a convoy then just blatted away with the deck gun at my defenseless prey. This was followed by a profitable harbour raid and then another tussle with a convoy containing large and tasty cargo vessels.

Have been studying the reduced-immersion complaints of SH4, among other reviews, and doubt I'll go anywhere near that inside of a year. If at all. Still happily addicted to this wonderful sim, and the expanding improvements of GWX.

Quick question while I'm here... why on earth would anyone trade in a Type VIIB for a Type VIIC? What are the benefits or improvements? The Type VIIC is slower and can't even dive deeper. Hmmn.

Best regards to you all.

Found a nice C2 that I repeatedly attacked for over 2 hours while in some major fog and heavy seas. I forgot how far into the war I was with this campaign (1943ish i think) and the c2 took more than a few pot shots at me. In the end (and in a bout of sheer insanity) I began ramming the c2. It won...just. DiD rules mean new campaign which I was after anyway, but wanted this one to go out in some rediculous fashion.
