Don't take the route IXC to IXC/40
It's not long after IXC/40 that the IXD2 becomes available
I'd suggest IXC to IXD2

Sounds like a plan. Time for me to look at retiring the old IXB and get myself an IXC until the IXD2 comes out

OMG i got pounded last nite! friggin escorts First pounding of GWX i have experinces and it aint nice well yeah it was good fun gaming wise and for a moment there i thought i might just beable to slip away. I got blasted where i started sinking, slowly sinking then we hit the bottom at 220 metres, turn of motors and started major repairs. Everything good for a few minutes, we still could have a chance, then I heard that dreadful PING, PING! i could do nothing but just sit there and wait for the depth charges.... BOOM!

Now on eternal patrol....

Too bad , Kiwi --(caps off).

I'm limping away from a similar. But think that investment in a strong repair crew saved my butt. Will add another fixer upper mechanic (have 2 now plus one officer) when I'm in port.

It was good to see how experienced crew worked in all compartments while damage control crew took care of the worst damage and flooding.

*caps off*

What was it with last night? My Type IIA U-12 was forced to surrender at Hartlepool after an attempted harbour attack went disasterously wrong. Bloody armed trawler called for backup.

I will get a Type IX one day! *wistful sigh*

Well done one of those took me out a long time ago in my type IXD2 near New York

That was back when I was unemployed and had time to make those long type IX trips

Now I might just get me one of the big long-range boats for Paukenslag if I make it that far from starting in 39

15 March 1941
U-123
Just returned to Lorient after 9 day patrol. Had the bazonks pounded out of me by two very nasty destroyers. Quite a bit of flooding and torp tubes damaged. Shipyard engineers said I had a 67 percent hull integrity. Managed to sink 53523 BRT. Inching toward the tonnage millionaire's club.

I've captained a Type IX before but started out in a type VII when I began GWX 6 months ago. I'm transfering to Lorient in U-95 now (Type VII) and should have a enough renown in about 2 or 3 patrols.

I'm hoping to get U-123. Hardagen rocked!

March 30th 1940
Patrol No.5
U-64 IXB

Patrol results
Ships sunk: 7
Patrol tonnage: 32594 tons

Me and the boys gave the French a good slap, just got time for one more patrol before they roll over and give up.
