No dedicated servers on the release version, they're trying to get beta dedi servers up in "few days". Apparently, the MP is done via the matchmaking method for the time being.

Speaking of infestation, is that fun or what?! Especially the pyramid map is great for it, almost pitch black and it shifts like in AvP movie causing the movement tracker to go haywire for a few seconds.
![]() Cant say the same about the Temple map, wide open outdoor area with ruins and almost no shadow areas at all. ![]() While we are on the subject of MP maps, they stink. So far, I've seen temples and ruins and some more ruins with jungle. Refinery (AFAIK) is the only indoors map that doesn't have ruins or jungle in it. Not a biggie for marine and Predator players, but how the heck is alien player supposed to kill someone in those maps? It looks as if the maps are made to have 30 aliens vs. 10 marines vs. 5 predators, they are big and most of them, well lit, leaving not much other choice for the alien that to try and rush it's target. ![]() EDIT: Ow and while I'm in the mood to rant, you cant choose your race in the team deathmatch. When you join the server, you are randomly placed to one team/race and that's it. Even if all the other players except one leaves from the other team making it 8 vs. 1. EDIT: Oh yeah, I'm not saying it's a bad game and that you shouldnt get it. It's great, but atm it's just a bit retarted, waiting for some shock therapy to get things right.
